Blood tests for Adults
If you have been requested by a clinician to have some blood tests done, please collect your blood test form from reception and book an appointment. Your other samples should be be handed in at the same time as your blood test or dropping off at the surgery before 11:30am Monday – Friday. Please do not book an appointment for blood tests before you have consulted with a clinician.
Most routine blood tests will be back within 7-10 working days. Please complete our online triage form Klinik for your results after this period.
Home visits
If you need a blood test but are unable to leave home because of health reasons then please let us know so we can arrange for the District Nurse to visit you at home.
If you have been issued blood test stickers directly from the hospital, please follow their guidance on where you can get these done locally.

- St James Health Centre, Walthamstow, E17 7NH (Monday to Friday, 8:15am – 12:30pm & 1:15pm – 5:30pm)
- Langthorne Health Centre, Leytonstone, E11 4HX (Monday to Friday, 8:15am – 12:30pm & 1:15pm – 5:30pm)
- (This clinic provides the most suitable environment for patients with learning disabilities to have their blood test)

Blood tests for children
Blood tests appointments for children between 1-years-old and 9-years-old are available at Whipps Cross Hospital. Please select the children’s blood test option when booking your appointment online by clicking here
Blood test appointments for children under 12-months-old: please book the appointment directly with the paediatric team on the Medical Day Unit, Acorn ward, Whipps Cross Hospital by calling 07546 655 797.
